Chicago Neighborhoods & Summer Festivals

It’s officially summer in Chicago and one of the best times of year to become a resident of the city!  In this newsletter I’ve included two links that I think will help aid everyone who is relocating to the area.  The first link goes through all of the different neighborhoods in Chicago and gives a brief description on where they are and what they’re known for.  The second link is the schedule for all the famous summer festivals.  I hope that everyone finds them both useful!

“I joined West Monroe as an intern in the Energy and Utilities (E&U) practice in the summer of 2009. After finishing school, I rejoined the firm full time in June 2010. Since my first day back with E&U in June, I have been working on a Smart Grid implementation with the City of Naperville. The City of Naperville received $11M in government stimulus funds as part of a $22M Smart Grid project. This is a truly transformative project for the City that also cuts across many of the different solution lines within West Monroe. The third phase of the project alone (January 2011 – December 2011) has involved 26 different WMP employees from 6 different solution lines. This project, like many with West Monroe, has provided me a great opportunity to contribute in a meaningful way directly out of school.
