Dean Fischer Named One of Consulting Magazine's Top 25 Consultants
Chicago, IL – May 26, 2010 – West Monroe Partners, a management consulting firm, today announced that President and Chief Executive Officer Dean Fischer has been named one of Consulting magazine’s Top 25 Consultants for 2010. Fischer, a 35-year industry veteran and one of the firm’s founders, is featured in the publication’s May/June 2010 issue and will receive the “Excellence in Leadership” award at the gala awards dinner at the St. Regis New York on June 17.
Fischer has guided West Monroe Partners from a start-up consultancy with a handful of employees in 2002 to a full-service business and technology firm with seven offices across North America and a complement of more than 225 consultants. Over the course of his career, he has earned an exemplary reputation not only as a consultant, but as a recruiter, leader, teacher, and motivator of people—a personal priority he has instilled in West Monroe Partners’ unique culture. Under Fischer’s leadership, West Monroe Partners has earned numerous workplace accolades, along with a strong client and employee base.
“It is truly an honor to be recognized by my peers for leadership in the consulting profession,” said Fischer. “But it is even more of an honor to have the opportunity I have today to nurture the leadership potential of others. One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned in this business is the importance of investing—with dollars, but more importantly, with our time and experience—in our next generation of leaders. From the first time we sat down to discuss forming West Monroe Partners, I’ve made sure that mentorship and personal growth of our people are fundamental to the way we do business.”
Prior to founding West Monroe Partners, Fischer was the chief operating officer for EC Outlook, an industry-leading provider of B2B Integration Services and Software and a portfolio company of Venrock, a leading venture capital firm. He spent the majority of his career with Arthur Andersen, serving clients on matters of business strategy, technology architectures and designs, business process change and improvement, technology implementation, and business operations. During 23 years there, he started new practices, launched successful new service offerings, and held various local, national, and global leadership positions.
Consulting magazine annually recognizes 25 consultants who have had a significant impact on their clients and within their firms. The publication’s board of advisors, a group of top consulting industry leaders, reviews several hundred nominations by colleagues and clients and designates award winners in eight categories, such as client service, leadership or excellence in an industry segment. This is the eleventh year Consulting magazine has published a list of Top 25 Consultants and first time the list has included a West Monroe Partners consultant. In 2006, Consulting magazine recognized West Monroe Partners as one of its seven “Small Jewels,” an annual list of smaller consultancies that show exceptional promise. In addition, it was named to the publication’s 2007 and 2009 lists of “Best Firms to Work For.”
